The Waterloo Grammar School Old Boys Association

The Dinner was held at West Lancs Golf Club on Saturday 3rd December, sixty five were due to attend however three were unable to make it on the night. The evening went well, with West Lancs once again providing us with an excellent meal and great service, all in very comfortable surroundings.

Our President Bill Brereton spoke, recounting tales from school and from his long career in the police force, this was followed by our normal run of events including the raffle, Charity plate, school song and of course 'auld lang syne' to finish off. Alan Kirby, our secretary and MC for the dinner kept the evening flowing and added one or two tales of his own keeping those present amused.

The presidents chosen charity this year was the RNLI and £535 was collected (see page 40), thanks to all for your donations.

We agreed at the end to do it all again next year!

After the meal many went through to the bar to catch up with other old boys, many they only see annually at the dinner.
